Holiday Wish List

It's early, with the holiday sesaon still 2 months away, but here is what I would like this year.
Step One
1. Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Hanukkah/Christmas/solstice is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
2. If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
3. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ or blog so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
1. Surf around your friendslist to see who has posted their list.
2. Here's the important step: If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.
* Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
* You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy.
* Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
Hanukkah - begins December 15
Yule/Litha - December 21
Christmas - December 25
Anybody who might need my real address, let me know! :) And if you post a wishlist, please let me know!!!
1. Donation to a charity (money, clothes, time, etc), especially ones dealing with children (Angel trees, toys for tots, pediatric aids foundation, etc).
2. Mix cd, or cd of mp3s of any kind of music or chants that you would like to share.
3. A long, happy holiday story, involving someone finding faith that they thought they had lost (not necessarily Christian/religious faith - maybe, just faith in themselves or their fellow man).
4. Anything from my Amazon.com Wishlist
5. DVDs or AVIs of Scarecrow and Mrs. King
6. Used books (If you feel like cleaning out your collection of things you are done with) : fiction, romance, mystery/suspense, sci-fi/fantasy, or Spirituality/New Age or tarot decks, or dvds
7. Cards, post-cards, hand-made Christmas decorations or crafts, or your favorite recipies for the holiday season.
8. A new home.
9. A baby.
10. For all of you to have a wonderful holiday season, whatever your faith or family situation, and to find at least one thing that makes you feel truly blessed.
